“We absolutely loved our experience with Hands of Grace. She was very helpful and understanding when it came to what we as new parents wanted for our child. She was very insightful when it came to knowledge on newborns and schedules. She was able to help us with things that we weren’t able to do ourselves. Having a doula literally allowed us to enjoy our postpartum experience as a family, which was my favorite and most beneficial part. Grace made it easy to just focus on being a new mom. On the nights that she came to work with our family, it allowed myself and my husband to get the much-needed rest when you have a newborn. We sought out doula services due to limited family support in our area. We wanted to make sure that we had the proper support for each of us as new parents, and for a newborn baby. Hands-down I would recommend looking into having a Doula for anybody and everybody that is pregnant or even adopting. Words of advice to new & expecting parents: Don’t hesitate to ask as many questions as possible. Understand that it is OK to get the help you need that is outside of your family. If you can’t sleep, try to sleep as soon as the baby sleeps. Also, when the Doula comes over, talk for 15 minutes and take yourself to bed to get the adequate rest you need!”
